My Mermaid in Simply Sewing Magazine

I’m thrilled to have my first embroidery pattern featured in a UK sewing magazine this week!

So excited to see my Hello Sailor Mermaid pattern in the latest issue of Simply Sewing Magazine, (from the set of Mermaid embroidery patterns available in my Etsy Shop.) Along with my photos, and colour guide illustration, the article includes the pattern along with its  reverse version for ease of transfer .

Simply Sewing Magazine was formerly known as Sew Hip! And features lots of sewing projects for the novice through to the more experienced maker. If you give the pattern a go I’d love to see what you make.  You can email your photos to me@cherryandcinnamon.com  and I’ll put them on this blog!

Simply Sewing Issue 43, July 2012

P.s this post features my latest ‘new hair’ ;-)  I’m a red-headed pixie again!

  2. Hi bridgeen, loved the new embroidery, also loved your picture you are looking brilliant, hair is lovely, how are you?

      1. Thanks Sally, I didn’t know about all of this until after I’d been published by them. Some kind crafters told me about it on twitter and intact even sent me links to read about it on your blog among others.
I feel like I got off lightly, I didn’t have a contract with them and I agreed no charge for the article as the design is part of a pattern set I was already selling on Etsy. So the design remains mine.

Don't be shy! hOLLA!
