An Irish Colleen – Embroidery Pattern exclusive

So pleased to finally be able to share this with you! A while ago I created one of my first patterns for publication, especially for the Irish Quilting Magazine, now it’s finally available in issue 18 (out now Oct 2012)!

It’s the first hoop art pattern they’ve featured and to accompany it they’ve written a selection of stitch instructions for beginners. Neat huh?

And here’s the cover of Issue 18 Oct 2012 (below). There are lots of great patterns and interesting articles in this issue featuring quilt crafts and quilters from all over Ireland. The magazine is available from most major outlets now, or direct from their website here:
Or visit them at the Knitting and stitching Show in Dublin 1-4 November 2012!

Speaking of magazines, before I go, you should check out Kelsey Hoffman’s amazing magazine project Craftie on her blog Watch this Space too!  For the final part of her MA Publishing course Kelsey undertook the task of editing, designing, and producing her own magazine. “Craftie is magazine geared towards a generation of young, stylish crafters of all skill levels”. Sadly Craftie is only available a free digital magazine, but it’s a beautiful example of a craft magazine that I’d love to buy! (Click on the image below to go to the online magazine).

I helped out by providing some content ;-) Be sure to flick to page 30 for Kelsey’s interview with yours truly and lots of great photos of my embroidery work! Thanks for the feature Kelsey and I hope you get a fantastic grade in your Masters! You deserve it!
