My illustration work is often influenced by black and white comics, like vintage Krazy Kat and contemporary work like Scott Pilgrim. I also love the aesthetics of counter culture and the alternative crafts scene.
When using traditional media I use pen and ink, or brush pens, and I paint in oils or acrylics. Often I’ll add colour to black and white line work digitally. I’m increasingly working entirely in the digital medium, and using photos as part of the process. A photo might form the basis of a digital painting or sketch portrait. I like to experiment with my Wacom tablet.

Your illustration work is wonderful! I like all the pictures in the slide show but I admit to bias. I’m in love with your dragons and monsters.

Bathsheba, Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate the feedback. Funny enough I’ve just been thinking lately that line work is where my heart is.x
