Around this time last year I was busy scanning in lots of old family photos for my Mum and Dad’s Golden Wedding Anniversary. I enjoyed the whole process, and they enjoyed an impromptu slideshow on the day!

I wanted to give them the photos in a form they would be able to use and have around them, and since my mum’s a quilter and I’m obsessed with making patterns I thought some family photo fabric would be just the thing. Perfect for a memory quilt! So I set about processing the photos, making them all black and white and adding a golden sepia tone to the finished design collage. I never told them I was doing it, so when it finally arrived, and in time for their next anniversary I took it round to surprise them. And surprise them it did. They were thrilled and kind of did a little dance around it. Aw, bless ‘em.x
